Bot Wars

Bot Wars is a concept that goes back to at least 1996 under Battle.net which was then a chat room for games like Starcraft and Diablo.

The chat rooms operated as Channels which were headed by a channel founder who presumed the role of the Hammer and could use that hammer to eject, promote, or demote users in their channel at-will.

The idea of Bot Wars came about since the Internet was rather wild-wild-west and users came up with ways to load innumerable instances of bots into the channel and for some reason the channel would glitch and the ban hammer could be passed to one of the bots in which case the attacker instigating the bot war would win authority over the channel and capture control of the channel as a pirate would a ship.

This was especially useful in pwning n00bs who had no business competing with g0su 1337 types in the overall game and by demoralizing these other squads who occupied their own channel the renown of the most fearsome bunch would be known by all.

This idea is to be resurrected again in the name of restoring order on the Internet and overthrowing the technocracy.

In the mean-time this page will serve as a collection of the bots I have created which were destroyed by the technocracy.
